Formal Short Report

This short report was created using an IEEE format and template. Before creating this report for my Technical Writing class, I had never used IEEE before. I learned a lot about incorporating information into a short report in a way that is formal and directed towards a very specific audience. My major is English and my minor is General Writing. I decided to incorporate aspects of my major and minor by writing a training report for how to help students who are writing response papers for literature based classes.

Hybrid Feasibility-Recommendation Presentation for ArkanPaws Animal Rescue

For this group project, my teammates and I found something within the ArkanPaws organization that needed improvement. Specifically, it was funding. We presented our information in a way that showed that we cared about this organization and that we wanted to help improve ways in which funding was collected.

We came up with three possible solutions for how to solve these problems. Our solutions were educating, obtaining more volunteers through educating, and then creating more effective ways to fundraise through the help of our volunteers.

User Manual

I am qualified to create documents in programs such as Indesign. For a former project in my Technical Writing class, I created a user manual for how to curl your hair with a Babybliss PRO Nano Titanium Straightener. Someday, I hope to work in a salon and do hair at a professional level. This will contribute to future endeavors.
